Fire Time-lapse by Michael Durham

Sharing a bit of wonderful Canon DSLR time-lapse work by my friend Michael Durham. He has been doing some amazing short-films for the National Park Service in the process honing some beautiful capture techniques. In his typically understated manner he sends me this email, "Recently While I was up on Mt Hood, I did some time-lapse of the fire up there. It turned out kind of awesome."

The Unseen Sea

It's been rather quiet over here since I started work in the Gulf - literally and figuratively I have been swamped. I fly back to Portland next week and will catch up with several posts in the works for here and my Gulf specific blog. In the meantime Jenn sent me this very cool site with a time lapse piece on the fog and cloud formations in and around San Francisco which I wanted to share called The Unseen Sea by Simon Christen - enjoy!

A year in review worth watching

By years end I'm certain everyone was sick-n-tired of yet another top ten this, and best of that, so it begs the question - was there anything worth seeing, hearing or thinking about one more time before the New Year and New Decade race away with us in such frenetic craziness that what was wasn't?
